DFE contributed to the successful commissioning of the Xinjiang Hotan-Minfeng 750kV substation, a key project under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan for power infrastructure. To date, the company has completed 14 ultra-high-voltage substation projects.

The national key R&D project for integrated smart energy management at Guangzhou Mingzhu Industrial Park passed the evaluation by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. (This was the only national “863 Plan” project in the field of integrated energy approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2016.)

Yantai Dongfang Electronics Information Industry Group Co., Ltd. was renamed Dongfang Electronics Corporation (DFE) (The joint-stock company was renamed simultaneously).
Successfully launched a comprehensive energy-saving system solution.

Successfully fulfilled the power supply assurance mission for the Beijing Olympic Games. Since then, DFE has provided power protection for major events including the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Xi’an National Games, the “Two Sessions”, the 70th Anniversary National Day Celebration, the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, the Hangzhou G20 Summit, the 60th Anniversary Celebration, the Shanghai World Expo, and the Guangzhou Asian Games.

DF8002 won the bid for an international national-scale dispatching automation system, marking DFE's official entry into global markets.
The DF9000 Distribution Automation & Management System was selected as the sole power industry representative in China's Top 100 High-Tech Industrialization Projects by the State Planning Commission, receiving 15 million yuan in state funding.

Established eight specialized research institutes, forming complete solutions spanning generation, transmission, substation and distribution.
Developed China's first provincial-level centralized power management information system.

China’s first distribution automation terminal, the FDK1330, was developed.
The FWB1000 protection automation product series was successfully developed.

The DCX-5 and DCF-5 products were awarded the “Excellent Mechatronics Product Certificate” by the State Economic Commission and the State Science and Technology Commission.

The DCX-4 power telecontrol microprocessor-based terminal equipment was successfully developed, marking the company's official entry into the power automation sector.
RDG-7 and RDG-8A photoelectric readers, supporting China’s underwater launching test of carrier rocket, received a telegram of congratulations for commendation from the CPC Central Committee, the Central Military Commission and the State Council.
The RPH-4 Chinese character input keyboard passed the national technical appraisal.

The RDG-8 photoelectric reader’s successful application in the Pacific launch vehicle test mission earned commendation letters from the CPC Central Committee, Central Military Commission and State Council, along with the National Silver Medal for Product Quality (the highest industrial honor at that time).

The RDG-8 photoelectric paper tape reader was successfully developed.

Reorganized as the state-owned Yantai No.6 Radio Factory.

Successfully developed hand-cranked generators.

The tri-lens slide projector prototype achieved commercial success, selling widely across multiple provinces.

Established the Yantai Prefecture Film & Broadcasting Equipment Service Center.
